Vegetables relate to plants. To be fit for consumption they need to grow from an herb bearing seed. Not all things that people eat are considered food, yet we have come to think they are okay because they are commonly consumed. Take mushrooms for example. Mushrooms are simply not food and contain toxins most people don’t know about. They are a spore, not an herb bearing seed.
Although mushrooms are commonly used as vegetables, mushrooms are the fruiting body of fungi. Fungus plants don’t have roots, leaves, flowers or seeds, and instead of using light to grow, they reproduce by spores in the dark. Mushrooms have been consumed as food and used medicinally since ancient times, but they weren’t cultivated until the early 1600’s when the French began growing them in caves.
There are side effects to eating mushrooms such as tiredness, stomach upset, skin allergies, headache, anxiety, mental illness, dizziness and more. Also, women are instructed not to eat mushrooms during pregnancy. Many people are unaware of the dangers of eating mushrooms, even the ones that most consider edible. There are no mushrooms that are edible or fit for consumption.
